Taking Charge of Your Health
There are three main causes of health problems:
Trauma — Falls and accidents that occurred in the past can cause damage that is not immediately detected. The damage may affect both muscles and nerves. Nerves control all functions in the body, and if they do not work properly your body will not work properly. Part of your wellness screening is to uncover injuries to your spine and nervous system caused by past trauma.
Stress — Everyone experiences stress. This leads to hormonal imbalances related to the stress glands of the body known as the adrenals. These glands secrete hormones that control sleep, digestion, weight gain, estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, allergies, arthritis, immunity, heart function and fatigue. These glands can be checked and, if malfunctioning, can be repaired through diet and supplements. We will check those stress glands by taking your blood pressure both seated and standing. When you stand, your blood pressure should rise by about 5 points. If it does not, it indicates that your adrenal glands are under stress.
Chemical Toxicity — There is pollution of our water, food and air. The United States ranks 37th in life expectancy among industrial nations. There are 82,000 toxins that can enter your body, and your body’s defense is to surround these toxins in fat. Our revolutionary nutritional cleansing program helps you to rapidly reduce these chemicals, lose weight and feel great. The average weight loss is 7 lbs. in 9 days, but weight loss is only one benefit of this program.
All of these factors can affect your health. They can also play a role in future spinal problems. Stress, excess weight, improper posture and poor nutrition can be contributing factors to spinal weakness and subluxations.
